🩺 Now Accepting Applications: McMaster-PEI Collaborative Hospitalist Fellowship
The McMaster–PEI Collaborative Hospitalist Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind, one-year training program designed for internationally trained internal medicine specialists (ITPs) and ABIM-certified physicians looking for a direct pathway to independent specialist licensure in Canada.
✅ Features of this Program:
13 (4-week) blocks of advanced hospital-based training
Rotations Include:
- 4 blocks in inpatient hospitalist/medicine
- 1 block in Stroke, Cardiology, ICU, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care
- ½ block in Addictions Medicine
- Selectives and electives based on your clinical interests
Majority of training takes place at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton
Return of service agreement with Health PEI
Only program in Canada offering a route to independent internal medicine practice within 1 year of training
✅ Designed for:
Canadian or American trained internist (ABIN) seeking Canadian experience.
Canadian ITPs with existing Internal Medicine specialization eligible for independent practice in Canada.
Preference will be given to candidates who are eligible to write the Royal College IM exam via the practice eligibility route (PER)
