🩺 PEI-McMaster Collaborative Hospitalist Fellowship: Lead the Future of Inpatient Care


As Canada’s hospitals face unprecedented demand from aging, complex patient populations, the PEI-McMaster Collaborative Hospitalist Fellowship delivers a unique, rigorous training pathway for specialized physicians ready to excel in hospital medicine.


Designed for:


  • Canadian or American trained internist (ABIN)  seeking Canadian experience.

  • Canadian IMGs with existing Internal Medicine specialization eligible for independent practice in Canada.

Program Highlights


Comprehensive Clinical Training


 Core rotations in General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Stroke, Geriatrics, Oncology, Addictions, Palliative Medicine, and Wound Care.


Personalized Learning


 Four customizable electives + academic half-days on acute care topics (CHF, stroke, AKI, chemotoxicity).


Leadership & Systems Skills


 Training in patient flow, discharge planning, readmission reduction, and hospital operations.


Certification & Commitment


  • McMaster University Fellowship Certification.

  • Return-of-service agreement in Prince Edward Island (PEI).
